Topic: Auto-Complete Tags +1. My non-techie coworkers are very skilled at coming up with tag variants, and auto-complete would help prevent that. |

Topic: FF3 display issue in Backpack Newsroom
That was happening for me in FF2 as well and I raised it with support several weeks ago. |

Topic: Organizing Your Pages Seems to me: - All users on the same account get their own homepage. I can see why this approach has been taken, but it does seem inconsistent with the common usage of the word ‘homepage’ and many users’ view of how a website works. Though the default page title tips you off (u”sersX’s home page”). |

Topic: FF3 display issue in Backpack Newsroom When loading the Backpack Newsroom in Firefox 3.0 the images next to some of the latest messages (section up top) show up in 2 parts. It doesn’t happen every time I load the page which leads me to believe its some sort of inconsistent FF rendering. Here’s a screenshot: http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6121/picture3mb9.png |

Topic: Jott + Backpack = mobile bliss Yes, they have removed the Backpack link “due to API issues”. |

Topic: Jott + Backpack = mobile bliss Chemnitz, the bottom of that page offers an option to add a Backpack link, but when I click on it it takes me to the Google Calendar option. Jott used to have a Backpack link pre-set, but not any more. I wonder if they were having trouble getting their service to work with the Backpack API. Anyone got any ideas or experiences? |

Topic: Jott + Backpack = mobile bliss Are you trying to use the “Custom Link” setup? I used the setup that was formatted for Backpack (in the same list where you can select such items as Google Calendar, I Want Sandy, etc.). Then it’s just a matter of giving them your API, and adding “nicknames” for your pages. (However, you can add/edit the nicknames from within Backpack – all they are are tags in the format “jott_pagenickname”.) Hope this helps. |

Topic: Jott + Backpack = mobile bliss I’m a huge fan of Jott and backpack, but have yet to create any custom links in Jott. Could you give more specific instructions for how you created the link to Backpack? I know how to get my API for my Backpack account, but am not sure about the setup in Jott, which asks for a “Link Name”, “Setup Url” and “Link Url”. Thanks much! |

Topic: Jott + Backpack = mobile bliss I’ve been a light user of Jott for quite a while now, but have discovered something that suddenly has me calling Jott a lot more often: a “link” to Backpack inside Jott. Once you supply Jott with your Backpack API, you are asked to configure your pages with one-word nicknames (they become tags inside Backpack) – then, call Jott and say, “Add task to [page nickname],” then speak your task. It gets added to the first list on the appropriate page. Wonderful – and free! |

Topic: Lists in Backpack - Title Required? I get around this like this: when first creating the list, type and save. The list will now be called but then straight away ‘rename’, then hit save immediately again (without changing anything) and you should now have a title-less list. Hope that helps : ) |

Topic: Organizing Your Pages I have the same question as chriscos. What’s the default home page for users? More to the point, can I set the newsroom as the default opening page for all users? |

Topic: Organizing Your Pages That makes sense for page organization. What about my “home page” question? Do all users have the same home page? Or is this just their own items? |
