Topic: Feature Requests / Drag-n-drop by item, rather than list

I use a flavor of GTD (“Getting Things Done”). It is common to need to move a “todo” from a project page to my “active items” page. This is currently difficult to do; the best trick I have come up with is to create a new list, move the items to the list, move the list to the new page, and then distribute the items.

It doesn’t seem as though it would be hard to allow me to drag items—just drop them into the page. If the first item on the destination page is a list, add it to that list; otherwise, create a new list “(transferred items”, maybe) and add the item to that one.

I’m using my own flavor of GTD (Getting Things Done) and I often find that I need to defer a to-do for one reason or another (eg, call Dave back in a week). One really easy way to do this would be to drag the to-do to the reminder tab at the top, and then have a pop-up to specify when to remind me, instantly converting it (without copy/paste or other typing).

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen—the names of the various lists (and some options about how to use your pages) will pretty much jump out at you. I’ve only been using BP for a couple days, but it fits my organization (which is largely lifted from that book) very nicely.
