Even some work groups could probably use an option like this. I’m exploring using Backpack as a small company Intranet but my company isn’t quite small enough. We’d have just over 100 users…but most of them would be happy with just a newsroom and a group calendar.

I have the same question as chriscos. What’s the default home page for users? More to the point, can I set the newsroom as the default opening page for all users?

Topic: Writeboard / Auto Save in Writeboard

I came in to say this—or something very close. While editing for any length of time (for example, taking notes in class as I’m now doing), I want to get into the good habit of saving frequently…in fact, thanks to years of word-processing I have a highly developed ctrl-s reflex. But ctrl-s doesn’t behave the way I expect it to, so I have to save a new version or save over the current version, back out of edit mode, then re-enter. All just to save a file. This doesn’t seem to be in keeping with the ease of use and simplicity that writeboards offer in general.
