Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / CSS broken if things go as they did here, it might take until monday. (The Javascripts “didn’t render” and 37 didn’t notice because the surveillance only notices database-errors.) Quote from there (JF himself): “We have extensive server monitoring 24/7 with mobile alerts and multiple people being alerted in the case of critical server unavailability.” And: “Our response time to critical issues related to service unavailability is excellent.” – 2 hours down… and counting. Seems like total unusability is not a “critical server unavailability”. “CSS not rendering” is not an database-error so most likely 37 won’t notice until monday. |

Topic: Backpack Calendar / Backpack Calendar on iPhone but not millions of other phones I’m syncing via iCal with my Nokia E61. Works like a charm (albeit one-way-only, like most online calendars, apart from .mac maybe). It took some getting used to events having no extension in time, only starting point, but once I got used to that, it’s fine and reliable. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Backpack not working So what do I learn from this? 1. Act as 37signals talk, not as they do. 2. I am such a Backpack-Addict. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Backpack not working @Jason: good. As I talked my spouse into switching from Google Calendar to paid Backpack, this was quite an embarassment for me also. @richallum: Do they really leave their servers unattended at night? Wow. I thought 37signals had the size to monitor the functionality of their service at night (e.g. by someone overseas) and ring the admins on the mobile in cases like this. |
