is there any way to get a backup of data that was just lost?
I think I stupidly deleted a user and their pages went with it although they were “our” pages, not just theirs

we are getting this message on intermittant pages for seemingly no reason. Any ideas as to why?

i thought you were kidding. Okay, I get it. What a bummer. I move those things around back and forth to get them out of my way and they keep ending up in 2009, i wish it wouldn’t do so much guessing here. If I’m in the same month, why cant it just leave me alone.

Why the calendar is defaulting to 2009 is wierd. Am I the only one having an issue with this.
when I tag a ticket 3/16 – 3/18 and click update, wow, there it is in 2009. Why not just leave the default in the year that we are in.

I’d love to be able to look in the back and see who is assigned to what page and then click to update a group at one time.

I found basecamp to be too complex. I didn’t find the add a file, add a gallery to be there. Has this changed?
I would rather use it if it could be structured like Backpackit, but I felt overwhelmed by it.

seems like the newsroom, although messages are clicked to go to “sales”, everybody is seeing them. Don’t like announcing things to our freelancers as well as internal folks. Anyway to stop this,like tonight?

Or is the newsroom only for things that everybody gets?
No other way to message just a single person?

I also would like this feature where you could get an email if an outside person wrote a note on a page. Currently you have to go to the page to see if it was updated. Nothing else gives you the hint of that.

This would be nice on the same page as well. In the past, before the upgrade, we had some organization so that we could “group” the files, into a particular section. We use this with lots of ongoing data in it for web design purposes. Now we can not keep organized because everytime the client sends an email it goes to the top of the list instead of in the section of the emails.
If we could set a preference to go to the grouping method it would be nice, but alternatively if we could select a bunch of items and move the entire group down to a section that would work to.

This is my point exactly. Everyday is an adventure now. My emails are not falling into a group area, they are at the top of the page, or who knows where and why. Can anyone please explain to us. Also, Instead of jpg files becoming gallery images, they are just files sitting at the top of the page. We are also getting duplicate emails on them and I’m not sure if this is you or our server who is forwarding but we have a single email coming in 7 times or more.

This is annoying and random. Now I’m looking to see if there is another way to go as this is messier than what we had before and will take an hour out of each days’ workload to try to reorganize. Messy.

I have to agree on the rudeness issue. I just spend 5 minutes deleting about 20 emails that dropped into the top of a project page by a client. If I have to do this for every client on my list it will be a drag. I work on laptop, meaning I have a small window. Now instead of backpack keeping me organized and reducing my workload it is making me do more work. Okay, yes all the items fall on a single project page, but if that page is a mess, what good is that. Really PLEASE RETURN THE EMAIL AREA FUNCTIONALITY SO THAT THINGS FALL INTO THEIR PROPER AREAS, OR AT LEAST LET ME TOGGLE THAT FEATURE.

I use this as a web design tool that interfaces with my customers. Pretty much every one of them is messed up. If they come in today, like the 2 new customers I have did, they’ll see some pretty messed up code in there. It doesn’t make us look very professional. Okay, for $9.00 a month I can’t really complain, but I would have paid more, it WAS the most convenient, simple system I could find for my customers. Now I’m scrambling to try to update their long pages with the correct codes and move things back around so they don’t get overwhelmed. I’ve looked at lots of other programs, like BaseCamp and others and this one was the most straighforward, easy to set up new customers, and easiest for them to understand. Now I’m looking at the big mumbo jumbo over there and wondering how much work I have in the next hour before my new customer project call takes place. Is he going to understand what hr b small and other code means wrapped around the stuff, and does this make us look very pro when we can’t even code our project system properly. how are we going to code an entire site for them? a little warning would have been nice.
And when will it become a basic feature that you can designate the color of your list names. This would be easy enough to separate them out from the rest of the page. Whatever, I’m over it, just a short rant so the powers can understand what a user is doing and how it interrupts our process. Not all of us are doing shopping lists for the latest ipod. :)

so maybe I’m the only one who is “not happy” but it looks like I’ll be doing hours of work to try to get my stuff back to how it was before. I’ve got horitzontal rules, bolds, and other code in titles that is messed up. things that are all moved around. ugggh.
