Does anyone have a good way of styling code as a note in a backpack page? Here is the best I’ve been able to come up with

But it breaks pretty easily and I’d like to use code tags instead of text texts in the markup. Also I’ve been playing with using an ordered list with each line of code being a list item. Ideas/examples?

I just upgraded from the Solo plan to the Home plan and realized that all of my writeboards are now editable to the other users on my account! Is that by design? Is there a way to keep them from accessing my writeboards?

I just upgraded from the Solo to the Home plan. When I try to go to the Newsroom I get the Oops, page. Is this because the Home plan doesn’t have the Message Board, which in turn disables the Newsroom as well? Or is this a legitimate bug?

I think Backpack has more of a secret than that…

Its 8:25am right now and I just typed “5pm Download Backups” with the default “Later Today” already selected and BAM! I now have a reminder that says “Download Backups in about 9 hours”.

I’ll test more later but for now that and Jason’s tip are good enough for me. Thanks 37S.

...is a list. Why can’t I reorder my list of calendars? As far as I can tell it is a list. And everyone knows that all lists in backpack can be reordered.

I would prefer it to work like calendar but to also keep the relative text “later today” “tomorrow morning”. Please, please, please ditch the specific time selector, the “natural-language syntax” is so much more usable.

I’ve subscribed to a few different Google iCal (private) urls and have noticed occasional problems with certain dates. For example my company has a Holiday calendar in Google that I subscribe to in Backpack. The President’s Day (recent) holiday is showing up as today (Tues 2/19) and not yesterday (Mon 2/18). I even unsubscribed, waited about an hour and then subscribed again. Same problem occurred.

Is this Google’s problem or Backpacks? If its backpack’s can this become an official bug report?

Im confused… The grandfathered old $5/month plan and the new Solo plan list the shared calendar as an available feature. What aspect of that new feature can I use if I’m the only user?

In the Backpack Product blog they list this tip to link to a divider. I noticed that when I search for the term used in the divider or link the search results return in part-code/part-textile. But the real break comes when I return to the page with the divider. Both the link and divider are completely changed and broken.

Create an anchor in the search results where the content item is displayed (ex: “Note: Process” or “List: @Next Actions”).

Allowing us to click on the word “Note” or “List” and jump right to the page and location in the page where that item is.

It really frustrates me that I have to open my OS calendar. I want to stay in Backpack. I’m also really surprised to see that Basecamp has this feature but its not in Backpack, especially with the recent update.

How is the “Watch topic” checkbox suppose to work here in the forums? I thought I would email me whenever someone posts a reply but I didn’t get any emails. I checked my profile to make sure my correct email was listed and it is.

When I select one of my Writeboards I’m taken to a page with an orange colored bar across the top of the page. I assumed this would match the color scheme I’ve chosen for my backpack but my scheme is the red one. Is it orange for everyone else? Also changing my color scheme doesn’t affect the color for the Writeboards in my case, does it for you?

@qwik3r2: Derick called it. It forces the page to the top of the list of pages. Also the prtrickrhorn.com link is where I learned to integrate GTD with Backpack. I didn’t actually write the article.

What are some other ways people are implementing the new dividers feature? I’ve created some GTD style pages with a ”@Next Action” (patrickrhorn.com) list and found using the dividers good for visually removing that list from the rest of the page, making it stand out more. It looks something like this…

I would really like the “Email me a copy” link to send a full HTML file (maybe as an attachment along with the plain text). I realize that sending HTML can be problematic though so if that is not possible I would at least like the ability to see the completed items of a list.
