Topic: Styling Code In BP Well, I’ve done some fun things by linking to my own CSS file. This requires that you have a hosted space somewhere to put the files for reference, but here’s one such file I’ve created. If you were to use this method, you could then add a UL class to modify your code display. That way you could control the display of the code without having to include the custom style every time. I usually add this as a “Settings” note at the bottom of my page so that it’s out of the way, and unobtrusive. Let me know how that works for you! <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="http://www.timelydbs.com/ftp/project/css/wedding_sarah.css" /> |

Topic: Writeboard Permissions I noticed this too. I have several different Projects (pages) each with different people working on each project. All the stuff in a page is secured by the user access list but any writeboards that are created for that Page are visible by everyone. This seems to be a bug but its so obvious it may not be. Just seems weird. Anyone have a work around? I would like to use writeboards for my pages but don’t want them shared by everyone |

Topic: Backpack Cal -> Google -> Outlook I’m also trying to use GCal as a middle man, but I’ve run into problems w/ incorrect times for events (subject of another post). There are several commercial/shareware apps that will synch multiple calendars from Google calendar, even subscribed external calendars (although you can’t sucessfully edit those on the desktop and write the changes back to Google). I’ve read various conflicting reports how well they work or which is best. Myself, I’ve looked into SyncMyCal, which seems to be okay (still evaluating), other contenders are CompanionLink, OggSync (subscription-fee) or gSyncit. Most cost a one-time fee of 10-30 $. The only problem I had w/ SyncMyCal (other than it deleted all events in Outlook after I thoughtlessly deleted all events in GCal) was that exceptions to recurring events are not synched correctly both ways (only OL -> GCal). Therefore I’ll have a look at the alternatives (probably w/ the exception of OggSync b/c of their subscription model). |

Topic: Backpack Cal -> Google -> Outlook Has anyone figured out how to exploit the new Google – Outlook synch function? I have tried … with only partial success. My objective is to get Backpack calendar events to show up in my Outlook calendar (one way sharing). We have: Basecamp BC -> BP -> G -> OL But, the Google synch only works with the “Primary” calendar and not the “secondary”. Apparently the Backpack calendar is added as a “secondary”. Does anyone have a way to make this work without some periodic manual intervention to copy events over to the primary cal? |
