Topic: Backpack API / New List Item Quicksilver Script

I’ve updated the scripts so that they don’t cause Quicksilver to re-activate after posting. You can find the fix at the above link.

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / mobile site bug

I’ve been using iBackpackit on my backpack pages to make the site work better on an iPhone. Sometimes, though, I like to go to the mobile site just to improve load times and such.

The problem is the mobile site doesn’t have a viewport size that’s set correctly for the iPhone. So, it wraps text to the size of a normal screen and then zooms it down on the iPhone, making it worse than a normal site.

Having designed a few sites for the iPhone, I know it shouldn’t take too much time to throw the viewport in there, hopefully without breaking the site for other mobile browsers. I could be wrong about that last part, though.

I understand you might be working on a real iPhone interface, but this would be a great in-between measure.

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Calendar Notifications Bug

When one turns on mail and SMS notifications, they get notifications to every calendar they have access to on the account. They should be able to choose which ones they want notifications for. My wife got my test notification to “go to the bathroom.”

Topic: Feature Requests / Start and End Times On Calendar

Since people that disagree don’t usually post, I’ll throw in my two cents.

I don’t really care about this feature one way or another. If it still defaults the way it does, fine. If it requires end times, I’d rather not have the feature.

The way I use any calendar is usually very fluid. Events that I schedule are usually longer or shorter than planned. I also tend to use primarily the month view feature in apps like iCal, where end times aren’t visible anyway.

Also, I usually know when I’m trying to determine when to schedule a new event what the approximate time lengths of any existing events on that day should be at a glance, making end times meaningless and arbitrary.

I can see how people with much more structured lives would find this valuable, though, so I would not be against including it as an optional feature. Just default to an hour like it is now, and adjust it if an end time is included.

Topic: Miscellaneous / Question about the new user features added

It appears that the old sharing between accounts is still available. The limit is only on users under your account.

It’s much easier and more integrated.

Topic: Miscellaneous / Plans start from $24?

Maybe that’s because full-featured plans (including the message board) start at $24.

Topic: Backpack API / New List Item Quicksilver Script

I don’t spend much time in the forums anymore, but I figured I’d let you peeps know that I came out with a new Quicksilver script for adding list items to backpack pages. I’ll probably whip one up for notes soon, too.

Topic: System Announcements / Backpack Multiuser is Live

Rocks so far. I love the way permissions are done on the pages. I have one question, though:

When I post a message, is it always visible to all users? Or do only the people I notify see it?
