Topic: SMS Reminders to UK O2 iPhone?

Always had to set up the reminder to email, then filter on the provider email to send SMS reminders when received from backpackit.com

Yes, that was how I managed it on my old orange phone; I can’t find any settings on O2 to send any email->SMS though.

Topic: SMS Reminders to UK O2 iPhone?

I have not managed to ever get direct SMS reminders out of backpack to any UK mobile phone network (have tried Orange, Vodafone and O2, not T-mobile yet).

Always had to set up the reminder to email, then filter on the provider email to send SMS reminders when received from backpackit.com

This works fine so long as network provider email system is working OK which has occasionally been a bit of a problem with Vodafone. Bit of a fiddle but only has to be done once.

It’s not working here either.

Topic: SMS Reminders to UK O2 iPhone?

Does anyone has their Backpack reminders arriving as text messages on an iPhone in the UK (on o2)?

If so, could you share with me how you got it to work? I’ve been messing with it since November to no avail. myusername@o2.co.uk arrives at my o2 webmail ok, but I can’t forward it to my phone. Using the number in the backpack reminder settings doesn’t appear to result in a reminder arriving anywhere.

thanks!

Unless they changed it from IE 6, I had thought that reloading all content was a Ctrl-Refresh. I could very well be wrong though. Anyone else?

Benjamin,

I tried to clear the cache by holding down the “alt” key and click the browser’s reload/refresh button, but it did not help. (I use IBM T43p with Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7) Can you help me further?

Thanks, Yariv.

Yariv,

Be sure to clear your browser cache, and restart your browser. That typically resolves the issue. If not, let us know, and we’ll give you some more things to try.

Topic: Features not listed

You can’t use version tracking on the free plan? Very interesting, I had no idea.

Topic: Features not listed

Mmm… I don’t know if this is the right name for the topic. I just upgraded to a personal account for Basecamp, and I raelized there were a lot of features that would’ve made me decide more quickly or that may be the difference between buying or not for others. This features were not listed (or at least I didn’t find them – not that I looked for them a lot): 1. Use your own server for files. 2. Version tracking for files.

This are killer feats (since 250MB seems like too little to me). Maybe you can put a link on the plans page to the FAQ page about files?
