Topic: MultiLine Lists

Just add
where you want a new line…

For example
Line 1
Line 2

Topic: MultiLine Lists

Ugg… I just discovered the new Enter=Post “feature” today. This is a real nuisance for those of us who actually like to have a carriage return or two in our lists. Please add some sort of hotkey combination for new lines.

Topic: Emailing to-dos to backpack

Another post mentions this but can someone tell me how to do it. I can’t find anything on the help pages.

I agree. alt+Enter would be great.

Kyle, you don’t need to vote. We said we’re bringing it back once we update the styles. It’s on the way.

Another vote for tables to look more or less like they did before.

Brad, this has been explained in other threads. We missed a few styles during the redesign and we’ll get them back shortly.

Topic: Tables lost their borders!

I have tables all throughout my Backpack pages that relied on the small gray border from the previous version of Backpack to render nicely. Now that the border is missing in the default layout of tables they look rather disorganized and silly.

I’d love to see the default border back on tables.

Topic: Templates (or Copy Page)

We are having some problems related to the duplicate page function right now, so we temporarily pulled it. We’re working on getting the problems resolved and we’ll have it back as soon as possible.

Nope – just upgraded and still no “duplicate this page option”.

Just share, email, remove from sidebar and delete.

Im not at my page limit and I don’t see this at the bottom. It seems like I use to have it though. Did it disappear with the update?

Topic: MultiLine Lists

Loosing the ability to edit a list and add newlines by hitting enter has been a big hurtle for me in using lists. Can we get an option like ALT+Enter or something that will make this more accessible?

Thanks!!

I didn’t see the duplicate page option – perhaps because I am currently at my page limit. Will probably appear when I do my upgrade.

The functionality to do this is there – you can duplicate an existing page using one of the links at the bottom of the page. Create a page as your template, remove it from your sidebar if you don’t want to see it all the time, then duplicate it as needed to create new pages from the template.

Love the new dividers!!

Would love the ability to be able to create a blank template page already formatted with sections (A-Z, Jan-Dec) etc.. so that I can just make a pre-organized page and then just fill it in with data.

We probably missed a style here, we’ll check it out. We basically redid all the styles for all the elements so it’s quite possible we missed one (or two, or three…).

Topic: Textile Tables

Hello all,

I think the new style implementation has removed the gridlines and whatnot from tables created using the pipe character; a page that had nice table on its front now displays the text w/o any visual separation from the surrounding text; the only indication that it is being treated as a table is that the font size is a touch smaller than the surrounding text.

This may be intentional, I don’t know. I realise that 37S has a somewhat skeptical view of Textile, and that it has proven to be a source of tech support headaches. I can sympathise with the desire to remove it all together, but please, if this is part of a plan to wean us off of Textile, please leave it as an enable-able option…

I don’t want a WYSIWYG editor, I just want my Textile! (...and those beautiful tables of yore, with the empty cells all greyed out… just visual bliss…)
