Topic: Feature Requests / Textile in Messages/Comments

Textile is allowed in Notes, Lists (items), Writeboards, but not in the Newsroom. I feel this doesn’t follow any user expectation. It feels unusual to use one method to input formatting in one section of Backpack, but another method for another section.

Also, the version of Textile used for Backpack is different than the version used by other 37Signals products. This is fine, I guess—but the help documentation points to the same resource, meaning users looking to format text in Backpack get frustrated when they try something like, say, using “-strikethrough-”.

I was wondering this, too…count me in on the curious to know the difference between Backpack Textile and the usual version.
