Topic: Tips & Tricks / Neat way of linking to webpages in backpack

Help me out as I’m not great with technology. What is the “usual backpack method” of linking to a webpage?

I also made Backpack my homepage and listed my top links for the day. Is there a way to do this and have the links open in a seperate page so that I don’t have to continue going back to home and logging in again?

I’m jumping in on this because I noticed that someone mentioned Web CT. This program was used throughout grad school and it was my single worst nightmare. Steer clear of this one!

Topic: How are you using Backpack? / Solution to My Chaotic Job

I’m a new social worker and organization is key for case management. I’m able to organize templates to all of the documents that I use on a monthly basis, quick reference lists to the mental health centers that I call most, I can scan and save images of my receipts and mileage slips each month to make some room in my overflowing file drawer. I am planning to do the same with all of the materials that I keep from various trainings.

I am not trustworthy enough of the security of the sight (and probably never will be) so I do not put any client names or identifying information. I still rely on my Outlook to store these files through email to lower the risk of any HIPPA violations.

I am also planning to move out of state and will have to take my licensing exam again as well as look for a new job and house. I will be making a page for each of these tasks to organize. Last but not least, I have a budgeting page on here by scanning them in to keep all of my monthly bills straight. (Social workers HAVE to stick to their budgets!).

Exactly how secure is my account? I do not share it with other co-workers and I am sure to log out after each use.

I am trying to figure this out myself. While I’m using a guest computer, it would be nice to send items from backpack.
