Topic: Backpack Calendar / Using calendar in multiple timezones? I’m curious about best practices for using the calendar when I have users in multiple time zones around the world. For instance, our main participants are in Chicago, LA, and Sydney. Our issues are: 1. We have an upcoming event in the states—in Denver. We want to enter an event local time in Denver of 4pm. My partner in LA enters 4pm, which actually comes up as 2pm for me in Chicago (and therefore 3PM in Denver local time). Is there a way to enter a GMT flag when entering a calendar time? 2. Is there a way to enter a time—ignoring time zone support (so effectively it would always be viewed as local). 3. Having everyone on GMT (effectively dropping us in the same time zone) is problematic as there are times when we do want to have certain events like conference calls appear at our local time. Just working my way through this…. |
