<body>Hi - I'm using Backpack pages to supplement the info on my website, which is working well for me. (eg https://sch01ar.backpackit.com/pub/1754961)

I'd like to add metatags and etc, for search engine optimisation - can anyone tell me how I might do this - by adding html to a note, etc etc?

Thanks in advance</body>

<body>Do you know if there's a way to change the standard msg. that goes out when you share a page with an external user, not in your environment. So it looks like it's coming from our agency - we've had a few clients delete messages because "they were not sure what "Backpack was"

Here's the standard message below I'm referring too: Thanks!

<body>Our company has several backpackit users and most of them have created a calendar &amp; marked it for everyone to see. So when I click on calendars I have to uncheck all the ones I don't need to see. When I navigate away from the calendar page &amp; return they are all checked again. Is there a way to choose which calendars you want to view &amp; save that? Or do I need to request each person remove me from their list? thanks</body>

    <body>Hi,

So far I love basecamphq which has now lead my team to try out Backpack.

Here's the profile:

Use MS Windows
apple's mobileme (www.me.com) calendar to use push technology to keep my iPhone up-to-date vice/versa...

Is there a way for me to pubish/share my MobileMe calendar with the calendar(s) we will be setting up in backpack ?

I am trying to avoid having to update 2 calendars.

I am totally new at this, so any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

<body>For Pages, I agree, for Pages it should be Shared or not Not Shared, then for Shared it should be Admin then Read/Write User then Read User.

My real issue is the lack of Permissions with the Writeboard. Right now it seems like you fully share it with everyone in the company or you don't share it at all, I would like to see the permissions hierarchy proposed above extended to the Writeboards setion as well.</body>

    <body>Hi,

I have several events that repeat every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Similarly, I have appointments that repeat Tuesday and Thursday. Is there a way to do this through the Backpack calendar? I've had similar functionality in every calendar program I've used so far (Google Calendar, iCal, Thunderbird, etc.).

Thanks!

Tim

EDIT: It also appears that you can't make an appointment repeat every day during the work week? Am I missing something?</body>

    <body>I have the same problem;
I live in Vermont, USA, and just scheduled an important meeting for a partner working in Brazil for 11am (that should be Brazilian time); he did not go for Backpack showed to him 2pm. To us it seemed obvious that Backpack should have considered my insertion of 11am as 11am local Brazilian time, since I was adding the event into my partner's calendar.
Or should I calculate all time zones whenever setting an event to a person in the other side of the world? This doesn't seem right... Any solution?</body>

<body>I think I like Backpack more than GApps because it free-form yet has some structure with the way it uses little modules for different content types (like a to-do list, writeboard etc). I personally just preferred the way I can chuck everything onto a page rather.

I'd suggest the killer feature for you will be that you can add comments and attachment to stuff like to-dos. Normally you do this via e-mail. GApps has no easy way to discuss and share attachments that I can think of. You need to be collaborate and communicate at a central point. Although Wave looks quite good for that when it's ready.</body>

    <body>NAME: Task.

I'd love to see this feature. I know that Basecamp is for pages. However, if backpack is for internal collaboration within my business then I do want to know people are doing stuff like, "e-mail invoices for this month."</body>

<body>Hey Jeff. Unfortunately this isn't supported in Backpack at this time, but you may be interested in checking out Highrise or Basecamp, other products we offer, which support task assignments:
