As the API currently stands, whenever you add a note, it has the show date flag set. I’d like to be able to specify whether or not this flag should be set.

(I’m using the API to post blocks of text (BibTex) to a page which I periodically copy into a text file, but when I copy, I either need to manually turn off all the date flags or edit the text file. If I could set the date flags to be off at the time I post, I could eliminate this tedious step from an otherwise smooth workflow.)
