Auto Save in Writeboard

Writeboard is great, but what prevents me from using it more, and for more lengthy writing projects, is that it lacks an auto save feature. Other than that it can stay exactly as it is…it’s great. |

I came in to say this—or something very close. While editing for any length of time (for example, taking notes in class as I’m now doing), I want to get into the good habit of saving frequently…in fact, thanks to years of word-processing I have a highly developed ctrl-s reflex. But ctrl-s doesn’t behave the way I expect it to, so I have to save a new version or save over the current version, back out of edit mode, then re-enter. All just to save a file. This doesn’t seem to be in keeping with the ease of use and simplicity that writeboards offer in general. |
