iCal with PC?

Do you have to have a mac to share iCal with Backpack Calendar or is there a Windows version? |

To my knowledge there is no Windows version of Apple’s iCal. It’s a program bundled with Mac OS X. Both iCal and Backpack Calendar use the iCalendar standard which is cross-platform… |

Thanks for your response Jeff. Is there a way to add calendars to Backpack, such as “US Holidays” with out being on Moc OSxxx? |

Yep, go here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars/usholidaycalendar.html Before Apple redesigned their site it used to be part of the iCal features page, but apparently they’ve moved all of the calendar links to the Downloads section. If you’re on a Mac the download link on that page would open iCal for the import link, etc. If you’re on a PC, try right-clicking on the link and selecting Copy Link Location, then in Backpack Calendar, create a new calendar and in the name field paste the link location and save. That should populate the US holidays. Edit – there are tons of other calendars that you could do the same thing with: http://www.icalshare.com/ |
