The Journal feature looks pretty good if you are using Backpack to coordinate the activities of several users in a small enterprise. If you are, as I am, using Backpack as an online organizer, the Journal is not so useful. I tried using it as a kind of micro-blog to capture ideas. The problem is that every post is in a large, bold-face font. I could get used to every entry being preceded by a bullet but the font makes it look like I’m shouting :-(. Just my $0.02 worth.

By the way, I LOVE Backpack as a personal online organizer. I have my food diary, a (much neglected) exercise diary, lists of various kinds, documents that I want to be available anywhere I can find a computer on the internet, the list goes on and on.

Sadly, as I recently found to my cost, journal only stores the last 100 entries. Thereafter you lose those posts. So don’t use it in this way.
