I just lost an hour of work keyed into a notes function.

I have a mouse with side buttons that have back/forward functions.

The keyboard hit one of the side buttons and I was taken away from the notes being entered.

I tried to go back to that page and it was lost.

All that keying and its all gone.

If this is a ‘normal’ reaction where data is lost if one goes forward or backward in the browser that really is a feature that needs to be changed.

I admin several content management php type forums and if you move off the page where you are entering data that data is not lost when you reverse back to the data entry you were doing. Data is not lost.

If this is not going to change then you folks should tell new users to use a text editor (which I am now forced to do) so that data is never lost.

Sorta sad

Perhaps an auto save feature would be useful, like on Google documents.

Writeboards have auto save; if you’re typing a note that would take you more than a minute to recreate, use a Writeboard instead.
