Drag-n-drop by item, rather than list

I use a flavor of GTD (“Getting Things Done”). It is common to need to move a “todo” from a project page to my “active items” page. This is currently difficult to do; the best trick I have come up with is to create a new list, move the items to the list, move the list to the new page, and then distribute the items.

It doesn’t seem as though it would be hard to allow me to drag items—just drop them into the page. If the first item on the destination page is a list, add it to that list; otherwise, create a new list “(transferred items”, maybe) and add the item to that one.

I’m also using Backpack for GTD. Instead of using separate pages for projects, though, I keep them on the front page (called “inbox”.) The topmost list is called “to process,” then a divider, a list for “actions”, another divider, and “projects” below. Each project becomes its own list.
This way you can easily move things from your inbox to actions or to a new list if it is becoming a project. If a project gets big enough that it merits its own page, then you can move the entire list or lists over to that page. In other words, if you think of lists as your prime unit rather than pages, GTD will work very smoothly on Backpack.

I second this request for pretty much the same reason. I also some times convert things from my @Actions list to @Calls and it would be great to be able to drag the item to the correct context folder.
